in one movement
The iSandBOX Software is a pioneering development powered by AR technology that was designed by our experienced team of IT-engineers and includes 16 amazing modes
Landscape
In this mode, sand is highlighted according to the heights, replicating the landscape. There are five landscape layers: water, sand, grass, rock and lava. Changing the sand terrain triggers different colors projected onto it. Playing with sand becomes an even more creative and colorful process.
Grid
The grid is projected onto the sand, where the highest regions are highlighted with red and the lowest with green.
Cartography
In this mode, the sand is colored according to the height, where the lower parts are blue and the highest are red. The mode is great for learning the colors used on the world maps – why the highest mountains are often colored this way, where they are situated in the world. It helps reading maps more efficiently and engages interest in the nature. The Cartography mode boosts child’s visual and creative thinking.
Volcano
Includes highlighting by the height, as well as an option to create an interactive volcano. To create a volcano, build a high mountain with round top and create a vent. The volcano erupts realistic lava that flows down the slope and gathers in the plains. This process is very entertaining and colorful and can be used for learning the nature of magma, lava and rifts in the earth core.
Waterfall
To create a waterfall put out your hand above the sand and spread your fingers. The waterfall appears in the form of water flowing through the shadow of your hand – it flows down the hills and gathers in the plains. You can simulate mountain rivers, water reservoirs, floods and dam breaks. Water is very physically realistic, as it sparkles and flows like real water would.
Ocean
This mode replicates the living and breathing ocean. Exotic fish and sharks swim in the water, crabs and turtles roam through beaches, corals flourish on the ocean floor, palms and other trees grow on islands. Every animal has its own habitat and behavior. Days are changed by nights – animals are highlighted and shadows grow on land.
Ice Age
This is a dynamic scene that replicates the coming of the Ice Age. During 30 seconds, the color of the sand changes into ice from the highest points to the lowest. When more than half of the surface is covered in ice, the snowstorm begins. This scene explains the natural phenomena of snow, ice, temperatures and how they depend on the landscape, Ice Age and how it influenced the modern world.
Seasons
This mode demonstrates how nature changes over the year and aspects of the each season: winter, spring, summer and autumn. The mode is great for learning natural phenomena: what is snow, why it rains, why leaves turn yellow, what is the typical temperature for each season, etc.
Colors and Forms
This educational mode is meant for little kids who would like to learn the names of different forms and colors. Different figures are projected onto the sand, and their color changes depending on the height of the sand. This is a great tool that could be used to teach kids the basics of foreign language, color theory, geometry and so on.
Drawing
This mode is focused on imagination skills development - sand changes colors depending on the height and can be used as a painting tool. The Drawing mode can also be used for learning art principles. Moreover, kids can create cool 3D pictures from sand!
Tanks
This game mode highlights terrain by heights and includes interactive characters – tanks and soldiers. The characters are trying to reach and destroy your base, which you should protect by throwing sand at enemies or striking them with your hand. When the base is destroyed, the game is over.
Cyclopes with Dragons
This game mode highlights terrain by heights and includes interactive characters – Dragons and Cyclopes. Two or more players divide into teams and select their type of monsters. Players get points by destroying opponent’s monsters, and the team who got the most points wins the game.
Air balloons
This mode is a balloon popping game. Colorful balloons appear on the sand, and the player should pop the ones which color corresponds with the color of the frame, which changes every 30 seconds. Several players can pop balloons at the same time.
As developers we can design a new set of modes for iSandBOX - add branding, new textures and mechanics. With our team of professionals from the field of game development, design and engineering, your project is in caring and capable hands.
We have already designed a number of great projects for our customers.
Cosmos
In this mode, sand is highlighted according to the heights, replicating the landscape. There are 5 landscape modes, from the lowest to highest.
Sensory Development
This educational mode is functioning as sensory scales – the kid should build a same figure on one side, as the existing one on the other side. The indicator shows the resemblance of the two figures.
Day-Night
In this mode the sandbox is devided into 2 parts: day and night which allows to compare the different times of day. Children can learn such concepts as sun, moon, sky, stars and constellations.
3D Map
Any changes made in the sandbox are also respresented on the real-time 3D map, that user can rotate and add any additional information on top of it. New Terrain Editor allows users to upload their own textures and colors.
Our development team utilizes AR, VR, machine learning and neural networks technologies to implement solutions into educational, amusement, medical, military, advertisement and government businesses. UTS is one of the pioneers in the field of augmented reality to which we have dedicated many years of research. We have gained invaluable expertise in software development and unrivaled features of the product:
